Spiritual Congruency

One of the most important things to me is to align as much as I can with the highest level aspect of my soul and monad. I call this feeling of alignment with my Source energy – spiritual congruency. The monad is the aspect of ourselves that is most connected to the Creator and GOD.

Congruency is a mathematical term meaning geometric shapes are congruent if the two shapes both have the same size and shape. So I want my personality/physical body self to have as similar a size and shape to my monad/true/authentic self as I can. In a way spiritual congruency, to me at least, really boils down to how true we are to who we truly are. It is about being authentic and real which is one of my core values.

I began working on spiritual congruency after meeting people online. As people who hang out in chatrooms and social media sites know, the chat room self that chats with you is often quite different than the personality self that you meet physically which I personally find very disconcerting. I became aware of this pattern after meeting people I really enjoyed chatting with on-line but found much less enjoyable in real life.

And that prompted me to take a hard look at areas in my life where I was different online or at work than I was at home or with friends and family. It was a very interesting journey to me and I found out a lot about myself from this exploration which is why it is now a blog post.

One of the things I try to be aware of is how aligned I feel to the highest level aspect of my monad and soul at any given moment of time.  I aspire to operate from that place and level all the time but I have been working on this for several years now and I am still am not where I would like to be on this one.

I first became aware of the non-congruency issue when I was working for the State of Colorado during the day and doing my spiritual healing work on the side at nights and on weekends. I felt that I was living in two different worlds and one of the main reasons I began working for myself full time as a healer was to heal and release this split I felt. It was a very dysfunctional space to operate from and I felt a strong pull in both directions that was very uncomfortable. I felt much more compassion and understanding for Dr Jeckyll and Mr Hyde after this -although I, of course, was not as an extreme example.

I really wanted to feel more whole and complete and I feel that spiritual congruency is one measure I can tune into that helps me move in the right direction. The more aligned I am with the highest level aspect of my soul and monad that I am the more congruent all levels of my life feel to me energetically.

I really feel that children operate from a space of spiritual congruency with who they truly are and live more authentically at least until they begin to be taught and buy into mass consciousness. It takes a lot of energy to be non-congruent since this is not our natural state of consciousness.

So I challenge each of you to look at the different roles you play in your life and see how aligned energetically you are to your highest level aspect of your monad and soul.  And if you find that you are not feeling very congruent, I encourage you to begin devoting some time and energy toward nurturing that alignment.

Some of Bill’s Favorite Spiritual Growth Quotes, Part 2

“When I began out on my spiritual path, I meditated a lot and prayed very little. Now I find that I pray a lot and meditate very rarely. When I began out I had a very active and curious mental body and a lot of that frantic monkey mind energy. I do feel that those years of intense meditation helped me to become more still, tranquil and calm mentally.  But increasingly as I become yet more still and go within more deeply, I find myself living in a space of surrender and prayer.”

“When you experience sadness, depression, suppressed rage/road rage and disconnectedness, often this means that you have lost touch with who you really are or you are giving your power away to others or are doing things that no longer resonate with your heart. We pay a huge energetic price when we are not authentic to who we really are and whenever we give away our power to others.”

“For people on the spiritual path, often the biggest blocks we have to attaining our goals is either 1. We are not grounded enough to bring them in and/or 2. we do not live in the NOW – most of the time we live for the future more than focusing on the present. We live in a physical world and if you want to easily manifest and create things on the physical plane, you have to be solidly grounded on the planet and living in the NOW where your personal creative power is centered.”

“I really enjoy watching hermit crabs. I am always fascinated by the easy, quick, graceful and effortless way that they upgrade their living situation and I feel we all could learn a lot from them. As the hermit crab grows and expands, they release their old shell and move into a new, larger one that can easily and comfortably house and suit themselves. They are not attached at all to their old shells and they do not identify themselves with the old shell at all. Think how happier humanity would be if they would live more in the now and easily and effortlessly abandon the structures and limitations of our past (old shell) to embrace a bigger, brighter and more expansive reality (new shell) as easily and effortlessly as the hermit crab does.”

“I am a firm believer in always asking for help when I need it. I don’t think we incarnated here to do it all on our own. I feel each of us has a huge spiritual support team on the inner planes but most of us have forgotten this and don’t call on them for support. I also have learned that when I ask for help, that it often comes to me in a form I did not expect. So I try to surrender my desire to control the situation and any attachments I may have as to what form and shape the answer will come in as. As soon as I ask I become vigilant in monitoring what happens to me looking for the answer to come in so I don’t miss it.”

“I really admire the work of Eckhart Tolle especially the second book he wrote – A New Beginning. When he was on Oprah’s series for the first show, he talked about how he thought a wiser question to ask was not “What is my soul purpose or meaning in being here” but rather instead “What does Spirit want to bring in through me today.” He would set aside a portion of each day for writing whatever came in and often there were days that nothing did. This resonated with me because this is how I operate as well. When I wake up in the morning, I open my awareness to see if there are any messages or if anything wants to come in. And I keep a notebook close to my bed and close to my bathtub because a lot of things come in while I am deep in delta/theta while I sleep or when I am bathing.”

“When I was a little kid, I really viewed God as this angry man that threw lightening rods at people when he was mad. And whenever I said the Lord’s Prayer, mentally I would stumble on the words “Thy Will be Done…” because I thought the Will of God would be something I would hate to do. Now after many years of inner work and clearing my childhood view of GOD, I realize the Will of GOD for each of us is that we do the things we love to do – the things that bring joy to our heart and makes our souls soar and sing. When you follow your bliss and live from your heart all that you do is aligned with the Will and Love of GOD. GOD wants so much for each of us to be happy, joyful and peaceful. He does not want us to suffer or be miserable or in pain.”

“One of my healer buddies calls me a Renaissance man, because I do so many different things. But after much inner reflection, I realized that I really do the same thing over and over and over again. I create and download things and I love doing that. Sometimes the downloads are healing modalities and sometimes they are spiritual activations and sometimes they are beautiful images and sometimes they are web sites. But to me I download and create all the time and I love what I do and I feel that I do what I am meant to do. I know without meeting you that each of you has at least one spiritual gift that is really strong and I encourage you to do that and only that to the extent that you can. Because when you focus on what you are really good at – you will find yourself following your heart and living your bliss and totally aligned with the world service work you agreed to do prior to incarnating.”

“There are two types of knowledge really – mind/intellectual knowledge and heart knowledge. Mind knowledge occurs when we learn something that mentally resonates as being true and we think – yeah that is true. But it is not really incorporated into our beingness, awareness or consciousness until our heart accepts it as True as well as our mind. Those magical AH HA moments we all have are almost always sourced in the heart rather than the head. Sometimes I will work with a concept for years before I get to the core essence of what will resonate with my heart. I have found over the years that my heart is more wise and discerning than my head.”

“In a lot of ways, my life was easier when I was not on the spiritual path at all. I have gotten so messed up energetically from going to spiritual lectures, sacred sites and healing workshops and channels and New Age bookstores and reading flaky emails and visiting flaky web sites. I view this as a lifetime where I have chosen to master discernment since I get hammered when I do not go within and ask if it is OK before I do anything externally. The other big lesson for me is not rushing in to save and rescue other people. So I urge each of you to go within before you do anything and ask the simple question:Is this aligned with my highest good and does it support my spiritual evolution at this time?” This simple step will save you from incurring so much pain, suffering and misery.”

Some of Bill’s Favorite Spiritual Growth Quotes, Part 1

“Balance is so very important for people on the spiritual path. Many people I have observed on the path focus so intently on spiritual growth that they ignore the needs of their bodies; experience out of control emotions; and operate from the ego mind. We are here to ground the energy of Spirit into our body, emotions and mind as well as to evolve the soul.”

“Mastery is an inner process of transformation from the inside out. Your outer world is the external out-picturing of your internal thoughts, feelings and attitudes. If you want to change your outer world, you have to change your inner one first. There is no other way.”

“Don’t Take on Other People’s Problems! Human beings are inherently powerful Creators which means that we create stuff and attract stuff into our life to learn from every day. This is fine for without our stuff, we wouldn’t grow. But when we get involved with another person’s stuff, watch out! It often is very easy for us to adopt and claim another individual’s stuff for our own.”

“A lot of people know that their lives don’t function very well but they don’t know what is wrong. If you fall into this category, buy a notebook that can fit into your coat or purse and jot down every thought that you have about yourself, said and unsaid, for one month. At the end of the month, read what you have jotted down. What most people find is that most of their negative thoughts fall into several categories, and these are the areas that they need to work with.”

“When people in a crisis learn that they create every aspect of their lives, they often recoil in shock and horror. Everything that we experience is created by ourselves but not necessarily by our conscious minds. Most of our life experiences are created unconsciously either by the subconscious mind or the super-conscious mind or soul. Part of the spiritual growth process involves taking conscious control over the areas of our lives that are on automatic pilot.”

“Each day I try to focus on three things. I try to see everything I experience as something that I created in order to grow spiritually from. I also try to see the Christ/Love/Light/Spirit within everyone. And I often ask myself, how can I serve the people I encounter each day.  Living in the now is also important to me.”

“Mastery is largely about taking responsibility for and becoming more aware and conscious about every aspect of their lives. Part of the spiritual growth process involves taking conscious control over the areas of our lives that are on automatic pilot.”

“Mastery in many ways is the art of making good, wise and prudent choices. When masters don’t like what they are creating externally, they look at and revise their internal choices. Masters know that they create their life and they take and assume responsibility for their life and co-creations, and choose a different reality when they don’t like their current one.”

“Two of our greatest gifts are our time and energy and what we do with that time and energy is important. When we choose to focus our time and energy on personal and spiritual growth then the universe supports us in this endeavor via the Law of Attraction. Eventually as long as we maintain a strong focus on personal and spiritual growth, we develop a force field around us that magnetizes and energizes the process. The time and energy we dedicate to personal and spiritual growth becomes magnified a billion-fold by Spirit so that the process of personal and spiritual growth becomes effortless in many ways.”
